You’re never too young to love Estwing

Chad Rymph, Carpenter

How many toddlers does it take to drive a nail? One, apparently, if you’re Chad Rymph. His life-long fascination with tools, especially hammers, began when he was just three years old.

Now, Chad’s a professional carpenter and has been for 32 years. As a man who earns his livelihood using tools, he swears by his Estwing framing hammers.

“I’ve always loved the length of the longer framing hammers and Estwing’s solid construction.”

“I’ve always loved the length of the longer framing hammers and Estwing’s solid construction. For years my go-to was Estwing’s 22 oz. smooth-face framing hammer,” Chad said. “But a couple of years ago, I switched to the 15 oz. ultra-smooth face framing hammer, and I love it.”

Among other Estwing favorites in Chad’s sizable tool collection are a 12 oz. hammer belonging to his son Rune and a 30 oz. milled-face framing hammer that belonged to his dad.

“It took me 20 years of asking to get that 30 oz. away from my father,” he said. “My son will likely face the same challenge with me one day.”
